SOURCE AWARD RECIPIENT
Gayle Holcomb
CMA, William Morris Agency, WME
A native of Mt. Airy, NC, Gayle Holcomb was the only child of Diane and Lindsay Holcomb, and grew up in the real life "Mayberry." Gayle began her career as receptionist for the Country Music Association. From there, she moved to the William Morris Agency in 1984, where she was hired as a secretary to one of the agents. She was quickly promoted to an agent where she signed and represented many of the eras' great names... The Oak Ridge Boys, Janie Fricke, Ronnie Milsap, and Gary Morris, to name a few.
Her career path led her to the Beverly Hills office of William Morris Agency. There, her client list grew to include mainstream artists such as Chris Botti, Josh Groban, Barry Manilow, Katharine McPhee, Alanis Morissette, Christina Perri, Carly Simon, Donna Summer, and many more. With the merger of WMA and Endeavor Entertainment, Gayle became a senior partner with the new company, WME, and part of the leadership team guiding the Personal Appearance Department. She is past Chairman of the Board for the Academy of Country Music, a founding member of the Academy's charitable arm, Lifting Lives, and was one of a group of visionaries who successfully moved the ACM Awards to Las Vegas. In 2007, she received the Crystal Milestone Award for her dedication to the ACM, and in 2011 she received the Mae Boren Axton Award. Gayle is married to Nick Masters, and they primarily reside in Marina del Rey, CA.
